About Your Teacher

Meet Anne Novak – Your guide to understanding the path to healing pain!

Anne Novak, RYT is a KRI-Certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and healer who specializes in the neuroscience of pain. She combines degrees in physical therapy and hypnotherapy with a vast knowledge of yogic science and meditation. She currently studies energy medicine and silent communication with Mukeshanand Brahmachari. Anne’s teaching is powerful and insightful, combining deep understanding of the human body and a delicate grasp of the human heart. Her DVD “Radiant Health & Authentic Happiness” brings Kundalini Yoga to people all over the world.

In Understand and Heal Pain, Anne’s inspiring and uplifting presence provides an astonishingly comprehensive guide for working through the obstacles that keep us from living a full and pain-free life. Please check with your physician before starting this e-course. There are aspects of this course that do not require any physical activity – so you will gain benefit from many of the lessons in the course – but if your body is recovering from an injury, we do insist that you have permission from your physician to practice the yoga.

In this course, Anne discusses pain from various aspects – physical, mental and emotional, and describes how they are all connected. This course details the importance of recognizing the body/mind as one entity that has profound impacts on the health of your body, as well as your emotions and state of mind.

No. The yoga presented in this course is for all levels of yoga practitioners, from beginner to advanced. Any skill level will be challenged to learn and grow in their practice of yoga! Kundalini Yoga is known as the yoga of awareness – and by practicing you will be able to recognize your current limitations, and also recognize when those limitations are illusions that are holding you back.

Yes. We do require that you sign a waiver to before you start this course, and strongly encourage you to get medical approval from your physician before starting any yogic practice. It will be your responsibility to recognize when the yoga that is being shared is beyond your current physical ability. There are many components to this course – there are lectures from Anne that discuss pain from multiple perspectives, along with simple meditations that you can do – so even if you are in pain currently, there is plenty that you can learn from this course!

You will need a computer or mobile device with access to high-speed internet in order to take this course. We recommend that your system and internet browser is up to date – some older versions may experience technical glitches!

To participate, you should have regular access to the internet. This course can be accessed from a computer, cell phone, tablet, or any other mobile device. We also recommend that you have a yoga mat, blanket, and a pillow to sit on if you are unable to sit comfortably on the floor.
